April is when the Sun transits through the fire element of Aries and the earth element of Taurus. Mercury will retrograde this month on April 17 – May 11th. This is a time when the Universe allows us to play catch up, heal what is not working, and bring past situations and people to the forefront to allow us to handle them differently. Mercury will be in Taurus throughout this Mercury retrograde so issues that may come up will involve finances, self-worth issues, and the importance (or not) of material possessions. We will also experience the opposition between Saturn and Uranus again. We first experienced this aspect in Nov 2008, then in Feb 2009, and Sept 2009. This aspect is asking us to shift our status quo state of mind. What old patterns of behavior are we resisting to change and let go of… The Universe wants us to take a leap of faith to live the life we are wishing for. We can’t keep doing the same thing and expect different results. April showers (emotional release) can bring May flowers (joy & gratitude). Take time this month to take a look at what you are resisting and what emotional blocks are holding you back from a life of joy and ease. Once the issues are identified, take steps to release and heal them. April can be a pivotal month for 2010! Enjoy!

April 28th – Full Moon in Scorpio. A Full Moon represents energy for releasing, letting go, endings and completions. A Full Moon can also mean a culmination of hard work which ends in celebration and maybe even moving into a totally unexpected direction. Aries March 21 – April 19:
Happy Birthday Aries! You are going to get a little respite from Saturn, the great teacher, beginning April 8th, so, enjoy the break and mix and mingle! There will be a lot of planetary movement this month, which means many opportunities for change and shifting of gears. Mercury goes retrograde April 17th in your house of values and money. You may have to look at what are you working so hard for… It is really that important… Should you make some adjustments to make life simpler? Your one New Moon of the year will be on April 14th. Make sure you set time aside on that day to create, compose, and construct, your intentions for the coming year!
Taurus April 20 – May 20:
Mercury (thought & communication) will be retrograde in your sign beginning April 17th – May 11th. If there was a patient sign in the zodiac, Taurus would be the one. You are really going to need that patience this month with Mercury heading backwards in your sign. This may be a time when schedules don’t go as planned, things are misplaced and miscommunication can be at an all time high. Breathe… Someone from your past may walk in when you least expect to brighten your day!
Gemini May 21 – June 21:
There are going to be some obstacles for you to navigate this month Gemini. Continue to be the flexible energy that you are. Your ruling planet, Mercury, will be retrograde April 17th – May 11th, which will be one of the reasons for complications this month. Saturn (tradition) and Uranus (innovation) will also be in opposition this month which can create friction and frustration for Gemini’s. The Universe wants you to choose the option that will create a new path in your life.
Cancer June 22 – July 22:
Mercury (thought & communication) will be retrograde (April 17th – May 11th) in your house of friendships, groups and wishes. Who or what do you need to revisit to help you on your path… Who will show up this April to remind you of what your hopes and dreams from years gone by are… This should be a pivotal month to illuminate those questions and answers.
Leo July 23 – August 22:
Mars (Energy & Passion) is still in your sign pushing you forward. Mercury will be retrograde April 17th – May 11th in your house of career. Past career options, opportunities may present themselves once again. Will you make the same decisions or make new ones based on what you have lived in the past months… There’s no right or wrong, it’s just an opportunity for you to recognize where you’ve been and where you can go!
Virgo August 23 – September 22:
Saturn (responsibility & structure) is going back into Virgo April 8th- July 20th. It will affect those with birthdays from Sept 19th-22nd. The Universe is giving you another opportunity to make adjustments in the decisions that were made in the past year. Mercury, your planetary ruler, is also retrograde April17th – May 11th. Be kind and patient with yourself. There is no need to push for results this month. This is a time to stop, re-evaluate, and heal what is not working.
Libra September 23 – October 23:
Mercury (thought & communication) will be retrograde (April 17th – May 11th) in an area of your chart that deals with intimacy and the deeper parts of your psyche. This is a great time to take a look at what is preventing you from the closeness that you may be searching for with another or even with yourself. Also, with Saturn (responsibility & structure) retrograde in your sign, you will feel the intensity of needing to take care of issues that you have put off and have not wanted to deal with. The Universe wants you to recognize them so they can be healed and you can move on!
Scorpio October 24 – November 21:
The beginning of April will be of time of getting things done because when Mercury (thought & communication) goes retrograde (April 17th – May 11th) life will slow down. Towards the end of the month Saturn (tradition) and Uranus (innovation) will be in a hard aspect (April 24th- May 8th) as well as a Full Moon in Scorpio (April 28th). Lots of energy for you to process and hopefully not over react to… Release, let go and breathe
Sagittarius November 22 – December 21:
This month your home and family will be a strong focus and hard decisions need to be made because of a difficult aspect involving Saturn (tradition) and Uranus (innovation). Mercury (thought & communication) is retrograde (April 17th – May 11th) in your sixth house (work & health). Do you need to create a new work schedule or work out?
Capricorn December 22 – January 19:
Your planetary ruler Saturn (tradition) will be in opposition to Uranus (innovation) this month. This aspect occurred in Nov 2008 and Feb & Sept 2009 and for the last time it will line up again in July 2010. The Universe is trying to open you up (as well as the world) to a whole new perspective on life. Are you open to an innovative way of solving problems or are you more comfortable with traditional strategies… The friction and tension is there for you to pay attention to the decisions you are making and to make adjustments when your decisions are not taking you to the place you want to be.
Aquarius January 20 – February 18:
Work and money are going to be areas of concern this month. Mercury (thought & communication) will be retrograde (April 17th – May 11th) in your house of career and reputation. This can be a great time to revisit opportunities that didn’t work out in the past because circumstances may have changed and changed in your favor. Also, Saturn (tradition) and Uranus (innovation) are in a hard aspect in your money houses. This is a time to not resist changes that need made as well as becoming very innovative to the problems at hand.
Pisces February 19 – March 20:
Mercury (thought & communication) will be retrograde (April 17th – May 11th) in the house that Mercury naturally rules, the third house of travel, contracts and writing among other things. This is a great time to take your car in for service, back up your computer and visit your old favorite haunts. This is also a time re-evaluate close partnerships (business and pleasure). Do your relationships need a tune-up, do some people in your life need a relationship demotion or promotion… Make the necessary adjustments this month. Jupiter (good luck & abundance) is still in your sign so make the best of this wonderful energy!
