What would you change about your religion?

The conversation in yesterday’s QOD was lively and insightful.  I love all of the thoughtful answers!
Let’s continue the conversation.  Those that practice whatever they practice believe in the core values of their religion’s teachings or believe in some but rarely all.
If you were to change anything about your particular religion, what would it be?

What are your religious beliefs?

I was raised Catholic but came to realize through the years that I didn’t agree with much of the archaic beliefs.  We’re not even going to get started discussing the corruption within the Catholic church…
Religion is defined as a set of beliefs concerning the cause, nature, and purpose of the universe.  Now that’s something I [...]

What’s your favorite commerical slogan?

Last week, TW9 members Grool and Rosendo had a fun time remembering those golden-oldie coffee slogans of yore while sounding off on what their favorite form of java is.  Well guys, this QOD is for YOU!
Dig deep…back into your days of watching After School Specials, Saturday-morning cartoons, or even late night TV…
Baseball, hotdogs, apple pie [...]

Is it tuna or tunafish?

I got a hilarious steam-of-consciousness email from a friend of mine asking why some people call tuna “tunafish.”  Please read her email below:
Why do some people call tuna tunafish??  You don’t say salmonfish, right??  I was in the breakroon today opening my can of tuna for lunch.  I was asked, ” are you eating that [...]

Are there conspiracies happening around us?

It is with a heavy heart that I write this…Two nights ago TW9 member Packman was shot and killed at his place of work in Los Angeles.  He worked at a medical marijuana store.  Hours after this happened, a group of men entered another location, ransacked it and shot the employees.  When we read the [...]

Do you like the heat of summer?

I recently returned from Northwest Ohio and let me tell ‘ya, it was beginning to get pretty steamy and we’re not talkin’ romance.  The midwest can get super humid during the summer months but I don’t think I’ve been in thicker humidity than mid-July in Miami.  Yikes, can you say swampy?
While I enjoy a warm [...]

What’s your coffee drink of choice?

In yesterday’s QOD, Lisa Schultz wondered if coffee counts as a favorite snack.  Now, knowing her so well, I know she likes a Grande Vanilla Bean latte.  Make mine a tall.  The staff at Starbucks say, “The usual, Ladies?”
When you need a jab of java, what’s your drink of choice?

What’s your favorite snack?

Is it a juicy piece of junk food or is it pure organic?  Doritos and ding dongs or trail mix and mangoes?
When you’re in between meals and you’ve got the munchies, what’s your favorite snack?

Has anyone forgotten your birthday?

It’s my son’s birthday today — he’s two.  His aunts and great aunts have sent him gifts and cards and while he doesn’t always fully know who the gifts are from (but he is “getting it” more this year), I really appreciate it.
It’s nice when people remember your birthday.  Obviously Facebook has made it a [...]

How did you celebrate your graduation?

Last weekend, we attended a nephew’s graduation party.  It was a lovely, outdoor, mellow affair, none of the graduates were drinking, and the die hards helped clean up at the end of the soiree.
When I was little, I remember huge graduation parties for my siblings running late into the night.  My class was the first [...]
