Do you own a bike?

Kronan Bikes have donated an amazing bike to be auctioned off at the unveiling of The Peace Project. The big event is this Saturday from 5:30pm – 10pm so there is plenty of time to get your bids in on this super cool ride.

I haven’t owned a bike since I was like 18 years old but this one has piqued by interest again.

Do you own a bike?

  1. Yes I do~

And if i could place a bumper sticker on it, it would read: my other bike is a truck.

I go everywhere with it. To work, to the store, into downtown Culver City to Tokyo 77, the bank, the theatre, Albertson’s, Vons and the Gallery 9!!

I was speaking with Brian, another Whole 9 member about how it is time for a tune up. The tires and brakes are shot and I’ve lost quite a few “teeth” off the cassette sprocket so I’m down to one or two gears.

I plan on bidding on that Kronan bike!!

So listen to Freddie Mercury and …get on your bikes and ride!!!

    peace~

  2. i had a great trek racer that was nabbed out of my car’s trunk when that vehicle was stolen. the car was a beater, and the bike was worth more than the junker.

  3. Unfortunately, I actually own two bikes already. :( Though… that Kronan is wicked cool! Put together with love by me! About the only thing it needs is a little chain grease and check the tire pressure and it is good to go!

  4. I sold my Specialized ATB a couple of years back, still own an old Schwinn Peloton, but could definately use somthing with some carrying capacity.

  5. When I was 4 years old, my dad took me to the top of a hill and sent me on my way! My first ride on a two-wheeler. That which does not kill us….
Been riding ever since. I log about two thousand miles a year on my car and seven thousand on my bike. I’ve ridden 5 times from San Francisco to L.A.. raising money for both care and research for aids victims. I think my love for bikes goes back to the feeling of independence I felt as a boy. Besides Freida and Tucker (wife and dog) my bike is the only thing I couldn’t do without. Share the road…share the love!

  6. I haven’t had a bike in a long time, but I gotta admit that having the Kronan around the gallery has had me thinking about getting one. Hmmmm…I wonder if there’s a way to put a Willow seat on the back?

  7. No, but I would be so very happy if I owned a beach cruiser. Why do the prettiest ones have to be $400??

  8. Actually Lisa, look no further than the Kronan instruction guide nestled on the carrying rack on the back of the bike. There are numerous accessories you can buy including a shopping basket and a rear child seat. :)

  9. I’ve got a bike, you could ride it if you like, its got a basket, a bell that rings, and things to make it look good! I’d give it to you if I could but I borrowed it… Sorry, I had Pink Floyd going on the headphones and I just couldn’t help myself.

  10. I used to bike a ton. Now my beautiful old Raliegh just sits staring at me.
The Kronan is beguiling in it’s beauty. Maybe if I find the right knee brace it would match it’s sleek dark frame and wicked cool lights. I might have to bid just to give Rosendo a run for his money…jk …I would only bid seriously.
I’m trying to figure out how to wear the beautiful dress I won Monday night at the silent auction.

  11. use to
    would like another one

  12. In fact, the Kronan can be purchased with a front carrier that can carry some serious weight as well. Adults have been known to sit on the front while cruising. But yes Lisa, you have no excuses as child carriers and trailers even are out there… So you get out there!

  13. *sigh* I did have one when I moved out here to Cali 6 years ago. A nice mountain bike. However, long story short, it was stolen…out of a locked bike cage, in an underground garage that you needed a resident’s pass to get into, oh and there was a heavy duty kryptonite lock on it around the metal loop in the wall. The people at Playa Vista Fountain Park Apartments were NOT helpful. Maybe it’s time for a Kronan beach cruiser! ;)

  14. Hey Guys…I just wanted to mention that Kronan’s one speed bikes are only $500 and if you enter Peace Project in the coupon code window during checkout and you get 30% off!!

  15. I bought a Citizen folding bike recently so I can take it on a trip to ride. I hadn’t had a bike since college when I fell and almost got ran over by a car…YIKES! So getting back on it again…. ^o^ I did checked out Kronan bikes but it was a little over my budget but I do like those European bikes……

  16. With 30% off, a single speed (which is the most anyone needs) is only $350. Not bad for an authentic, imported Euro city bike. Code “Peace Project” is all you need to get that price. Do it and get out there!
