What is your go-to food?

Could be food you eat in stress or food you consume when success drops in for a visit.  TW9 member Dread Daze mentioned grilled salmon in yesterday’s QOD so this got me thinking…and as he would say, “Peace In.” :)

What is your go-to food?

  1. Pasta, toast, tangerines or chocolate. Depending on how hungry I am and how much time I have before I have to be somewhere.

  2. It used to be chocolate chip cookies as a go-to snack. Now since eating vegetarian and mostly vegan I keep carrots and cashews around. For a go-to restaurant, it’s Cafe Gratitude in LA. The food is full of life.

  3. Well today I ate a whole tube of Munchies chocolate…so I guess I have to admit that’s my go-to ‘food’ in moments of anxiety!

  4. When I am stressed and don’t have time for linch it’s rye crisp and cheese and a sliced apple. When it’s low energy time (around 4:00 in the afternoon) it’s a latte and some chocolate. If its a celebration then the go to food is cocktail shrimp with sauce and a glass of pinot gris!

  5. Tomatoes and avocado everyday!

  6. Pasta. Eat it almost every night. With rapini and mushrooms or with squash blossom yams and grilled radicchio or sugar snap peas with walnuts or a simple pomodoro sauce. Oh, and tacos! Fish tacos, shrimp tacos, al pastor… with hot salsa, cilantro, some chopped cucumbers… Definitely a go-to staple I never get tired of. Oh yeah, and fruit: honeycrisp apples, sunshine tangerines, sweet, crunchy persimmons when they’re in season, berries, melons…

  7. Cheese and crackers. And white chocolate chip and macadamia nut Clif Bars. And coffee. And more coffee.

  8. Lately my little obsession has been some white wine, olives, and cheese :) Depending on what the “go to” need is though it could be all kinds of things… dark chocolate…pasta and some greens for a quick fix-up meal…nutrition shake…or protein bar….

  9. I don’t eat when stressed. When I want to really relax and trigger my brain to slow down it is quality Dark Chocolate with hot Earl Grey Tea…orgasmic combination….or Sambucca on the rocks and a nice hot bath with candles….ahhhhhh.
