A creative blog by Heidi Huber on The Whole 9

Heidi Huber started her career with the sink or swim theory. Luckily she knows the freestyle which has taken her from the Chicago stage to behind the scenes in Los Angeles where she currently continues to tap as The Whole 9’s Chief of Everything Else.

What’s something you wouldn’t spend money on?

Do you draw the line at lottery tickets or prostitution?  Would you not bother purchasing $6,000 rims for your vehicle or do you veer away from anything with a label?

What’s something you wouldn’t spend money on?

  1. - prostitutes

  2. a watch.

  3. or a cemetery plot.

  4. Though I will defend anyone’s/everyone’s right to do so, I just don’t see the point in Gambling–like Vegas-style gambling.
My Mother LOVED it: our very last evening together was spent at a Casino where she won something like 1500$.
I just took my 100$ cut and kept her in free 7-Up…

  5. I know of one artist I wouldn’t spend my money on…..not even a penny! Thomas Kincaid! I probably would never buy a Chia pet either!

  6. Anything for a purpose of SHOW-OFF.

  7. Fur, nor would I wear one for free.

  8. Gambling

  9. I saw an air bar the other day in LA on Beverly Blvd. Don’t think I’d spend money on that (unless I was suffocating). I also won’t spend money on the lottery or other gambles of pure chance, but I’ve been known to gamble on poker (which isn’t a very interesting game if nothing’s at stake). I also am prejudiced against paying ‘extra’ for status brand labels: in fact if a piece of clothing carries an excessively ostentatious ‘name’ label I think the producer should pay ME to wear it. I also won’t spend money on anything associated with certain companies or individuals I find abhorrent, such as products manufactured by the Koch Brothers (http://inspirationgreen.com/koch-brothers-products.html). Likewise corporations that have pissed me off beyond the limits of human tolerance (eg: ATT).

  10. Super Bowl tickets.

  11. Anything that follows…”But wait! That’s not all!” or “Order now! Supplies are limited”

  12. All of the above, although @judith, I’m curious about your views on Thomas Kincade. No comment on his work, but he seems to be doing some pretty remarkable giving. Do share…

  13. Rosendo- howzabout, “You could not give or receive a finer gift!” lol :)

  14. lol Rosendo and dangerousideas…I agree with awaken2sun as well.
I wouldn’t spend money on things I know I can do…with the exception of house chores and mowing the lawn…because I have allergies to grasses.
