It’s Oscar Sunday, folks, and the movie-going public wonders if front-runner “The Artist” will walk away with the award for Best Picture or if “indie” fave “The Descendants” will get the nod. I’ve only seen “The Help” and “The Descendants” and while both are solid films, I wouldn’t consider them the Best.

There have been times where I was white-knuckling it on a plane — small plane, drops in altitude, lots of turbulence, hard landings, etc. I never thought though, “Damn…this is it.” Close, and I don’t know why but it’s always near Houston…
