What do you do to get into your creative zone?

Are you the type that just jumps into it?  One cup of coffee and off you go, or do you need to mentally or physically prepare?

You may have seen in the news that a developer in London is suspending a transparent pool between two buildings, ten stories high.  The Sky Pool will be center stage at the Embassy Gardens in the Nine Elms District.

I’ve always been motivated by encouragement or maybe just positive surroundings.  There have been times where discouragement or nay-sayers added fuel to the flame though.

Friends tend to come to me for advice.  Maybe it the sensible logic I hope I offer, or maybe I’m handy in their phones…

“Move along. Nothing to see here.”
“We aren’t ready to accept differences in humans, let alone what you can offer.”
“We come in Peace.” (Actually we don’t.  Just kidding!)

In what ways are you the same as your child-self?

My mouth has always been the same size.  Yes, at age three, five and possibly even nine, it was rather large for my age.  While still large, I’ve grown into it.

What do you remember about the first day of school?

Excited nervousness, happy to reconnect with your friends again, and meeting your teacher.  Sometimes good, sometimes, NOT so good.

What’s the most disturbing internet ad?

I’ll be on some odd website, gossip of whatnot, that breaks up their articles with advertising.  Typically, the ads are extreme close ups of something cellular or bodily interior.  I find them gross and disturbing.

Would you break the law to save someone?

Years ago, a football-fan fight broke out at a bowl game my family attended that directly involved my brother.  As security came (insert rent-a-cops) to haul off the involved, my mom whispered to my brother, “Give me your wallet.  Give me your wallet!”  I thought that was pretty crafty.
